Aphrodite's worst nightmare

The next day we had bacon and eggs for breakfast. "Please pass the bacon," I said. "You must be really hungry," my mom said as she passed the plate of bacon. "That's your fifth serving of bacon." "Bacon is my favorite mom." I said in reply. Ring! Ring! Ring! "Mom, get the phone." "I'm going, I'm going." She said.
"I wonder who that could be," said my dad. "The neighbors probably got our mail again," I said. Just as I was getting a drink my mom came in and said, "Good news. Aphrodite, your sister is coming over tomorrow." I almost choked on my drink.
"WHAT????!!!!" I said. "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Mom, you can't be serious." "I'm totally serious. That was her on the phone letting us know that she's be here tomorrow," my mom said. "Why is she coming over tomorrow?!" I asked.
"She said she wanted to talk to you about something only you two know about." I froze. "Wait, Aphrodite has a sister? What's her name?" Brooklyn asked. "Yes, Aphrodite has a little sister," my mom answered. "Her names Kodi."
"Um, is Aphrodite OK?" Brooklyn asked. "She looks like she's a statue," My dad said. "Wait, she went like that when you mentioned the something only her and Kodi know about," Brooklyn said to my mom. "Aphrodite, how about you and Brooklyn stay home from school today," my mom said.
I didn't reply, I just sat there frozen. I can't believe Kodi found out anything, I thought. I never knew she would be able to find out anything about it. Slowly I began to move. I got up and went upstairs. I was planning on being alone in my room. Fortunately Brooklyn followed.
I sat down at the computer in my room and got on my email. I decided to email Kodi. This is what the email said:
Dear Kodi,
I can't believe that you found out anything about it. Just to remind you, I said IT because mom and dad might look at our emails that we send to each other, And you know what they'll do if they knew we didn't tell them about it. So, how did you find out anything about it? Wait, don't answer that. If you do mom might find out what IT is.
We have to keep it a secret until we know we can tell them. Oh, ya. Kodi, I met someone else like us. Her names Brooklyn. When you get here then you can help me decide if we should tell Brooklyn what IT is. I can't wait to here about what you found out.

When I turned around Brooklyn asked, "Why can't you just tell me what IT is? Why do you have to have your YOUNGER sister help you decide?" "Brooklyn, we've kept this secret for years. I have to make sure Kodi agrees before I tell you. I'd tell you now if I could, I really would." I answered.

The next day I ran to the door once I heard someone knock. I opened the door. "Kodi!" I said. "Aphrodite! I haven't seen you for years," Kodi said. "Now who's this Brooklyn you told me about in your email?" "Brooklyn's still sleeping. Now come on let's go to my room and talk," I said.
Once we entered my room I sensed Brooklyn. I opened my closet. "I know your there Brooklyn," I said. Brooklyn exited my closet. "Kodi, this is Brooklyn. Brooklyn, this is Kodi." "Nice to meet you," Kodi said. They shook hands. "Now, Brooklyn can we have some older sister little sister time?" I asked. "Fine. I'll go then." Once Brooklyn left the room I asked, "Have you been listening to the Naruto opening, Yura Yura?"
"Of course, It's the best song ever! Now, let's get down to business," She said. "OK, what did you find out about," I looked around then whispered. "The Fire of life?" "Well, The Fire of life keeps everything on earth from being ruled my the Ultimate." "So, the Ultimate will go after whoever has The Fire of life?" "Exactly. But, The Fire of life is also the life source to whoever it's inside," Kodi said.
"Did you find out who it's inside?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. "Who?" "You. The Fire of life is inside of you. The Ultimate is going to be after you non-stop until your dead." I sat there frozen. "That's impossible. The Fire of life can't be inside of me." "I wish It wasn't, but if I say it wasn't then I'd be lying. I wouldn't have told you if your life wasn't in danger because of it, but it is. I'm so sorry," Kodi said.
knock knock! "Who is it?" I asked. "It's mom. I was wondering if you and Kodi would like to come down for breakfast." "We'll be down in a minute," Kodi said. We waited for mom's footsteps faded. "We have to pretend like nothing happened," I said.
With that I went downstairs for breakfast. We were have pancakes. I ate until I was full then went upstairs to think about what just happened. I had to wrap my head around the fact that I'm The Fire of life.
